Jay joined Nansemond Insurance in 1980 after two years with Ferguson Enterprises. Jay was born in Chattanooga, TN and educated at Hampden-Sydney College and the College of William and Mary. He works with commercial businesses in various industries from Key West, Florida through Northern VA. He loves his work of helping protect the assets of mid-sized to larger businesses and lives in Suffolk, VA. Married to Mary Alice in 1977 – they have 4 children and 7 grandchildren. He is active in helping folks and enjoys hunting, woodworking, cycling, and most any other outdoor activity. Jay is a member of Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church. He is also active in the Southeastern Correctional Ministry.
